What You'll Be Creating

When you’re new to knitting, it’s best to keep projects simple until you’ve mastered the basic stitches, but that doesn’t meant you have to knit nothing but useless swatches. These easy garter stitch mitts are simply creatively seamed squares, and they’re the perfect first project for a new knitter. The bold color blocking keeps things fun without making the mitts more complex to knit, and when you’re done, you’ll have a cute new pair of mitts and enough experience to tackle a more challenging knitting pattern.
