
Snuggling up in a hand-knitted scarf is the best way to beat the cold. This cabled scarf is as fun to wear as it is to make. It features panels of seed stitch, and the cables are made up from ribbing so the scarf is entirely reversible.
Supplies

- 3 Skeins HiKoo Kenzie yarn
- US 8/5 mm needles or size needed to get 9 stitches and 12 rows over 5cm (2in) in stockinette
- Cable needle
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
1. First Repeat
Cast on 44 stitches.

- Row 2: [K1, p1] 4 times, k1, [k1, p1] 4 times, k1, [k1, p1] 4 times, p1, [k1, p1] 4 times, p1, [k1, p1] 4 times.
- Row 4: K1, slip 4 stitches onto the cabled needle and hold in front, [p1, k1, p1, k1] from the left needle, [p1, k1, p1, k1] from the cable needle, [k1, p1] 4 times, k1, [k1, p1] 4 times, p1, [k1, p1] 4 times, p1, [k1, p1] 4 times.

- Row 6: [K1, p1] 4 times, k1, [k1, p1] 4 times, k1, [k1, p1] 4 times, p1, [k1, p1] 4 times, p1, [k1, p1] 4 times.
- Row 8: [K1, p1] 4 times, k1, [k1, p1] 4 times, k1, slip 4 stitches onto the cabled needle and hold in front, [k1, p1, k1, p1] from the left needle, [k1, p1, k1, p1] from the cable needle, p1, [k1, p1] 4 times, p1, [k1, p1] 4 times.
- Row 10: [K1, p1] 4 times, k1, [k1, p1] 4 times, k1, [k1, p1] 4 times, p1, [k1, p1] 4 times, p1, [k1, p1] 4 times.
- Row 12: [K1, p1] 4 times, k1, [k1, p1] 4 times, k1, [k1, p1] 4 times, p1, [k1, p1] 4 times, slip 4 stitches onto the cabled needle and hold in front, [p1, k1, p1, k1] from the left needle, [p1, k1, p1, k1] from the cable needle, p1.

2. Knit to Length
Repeat Rows 1-12 29 times or until scarf is the desired length.
Repeat Rows 1-2.
3. Finish
Bind off and cut yarn.
